365 DAYS OF CODE - DAY 16

I did not implement the blackjack and the ace changing to 1 function to yesterday’s code.

Today is day 16, I should be at the intermediate level already, but I am not. I have 3 more lessons to go.

I should have just viewed all the hints rather than trying to figure it all out on my own.

Re-factor helps you rename every instance of a variable, like find and replace does but you do not have to find, you just right click on a variable, select re-factor and rename.

She preaches to us daily, which is a continuous source of motivation to continue.

I do not think I did well on my first capstone project although I thought it was not that difficult when I was working on it.

Today, we looked at scope, I can remember having a scope problem on one of the exercises. I think on day 13 (the calculator exercise) if I am not mistaken.

We also looked at namespaces which could be in either the local or global scope.

I have also decided to spend as much time as possible trying to solve a given problem, even though it takes weeks. Hopefully not.

365 DAYS OF CODE - DAY 0

DAY 0 THOUGHT PROCESS Day Zero of the 365 days of code highlights my state of mind before the actual start of the program. Yes, it is a program. A program I set for myself to make sure I actually put in the work on a daily. I have tried coding before but have never been quite consistent with it. A friend advised me to try coding daily if I really wanted to be great at it someday. He also stated that it would take a long time and I should be prepared for it. During the same period, I noticed he was on a year's worth streak of chess which made me realize I could also do the same but with coding. I signed up for the 100 days of code course on Udemy and plan on starting my coding journey with Angela Yu and the thousands of students also taking the course. I also drafted my own copy of the pledge, copied and modified from the 100 Days of Python Pledge from the course materials. It is currently pasted on my wall as a constant reminder.
